To celebrate the arrival of last Christmas’ order of Moroccan artefacts (yes, you read that correctly), today’s interlude is Moroccan.
Now most Arabic music is toe-tappingly catchy. This is chaabi music, however; if you study the video above you will note that even the danseuses folkloriques are having trouble keeping the beat. For tourists it requires an impossible combination of coordination and complete lack of inhibition. We speak from experience. Go on – have a little practice in your living room. We won’t look. See – impossible, isn’t it?
